From our archives: An inspiring day in Harlem

April 2003, with Bobby Robinson, famed song writer and record producer, whose record store: "Bobby's Happy House" was the first black-owned business on Harlem's West 125th St. (1946) for six decades!

Photographer David Bernstein joined Alice Bernstein's exciting interview with Bobby which is in our archives!

Afterwards they went to Countee Cullen Branch of the NY Public Library (West 136th S.) where Alice had a lively conversation with children's librarian, Nancy Hampton, about "Children's Guide to Parents and Other Matters," by #EliSiegel, which had just been published illustrations by #DorothyKoppelman.
